چکیده
Noise pollution is often overlooked and invisible, but it significantly impacts the quality of human life. One most straightforward solutions to mitigate noise by using sound-absorbing materials. Recently, research trends develop sound absorbing green materials, typically derived from agricultural by-products, have witnessed an uptick. This paper summarizes properties various materials found in literature, including coconut fiber, kenaf rice bran, husk, straw, Hanji (a traditional Korean paper), tea-leaf mandarin peel, pineapple-leaf corn peanut shell, sugar palm trunk, yucca gloriosa fruit stones, wood barks, flax nettle fiber. Natural fibers can be made compressing raw material or manufacturing them into fibrous composites. The key variables that determine absorption performance are thickness density material, as well presence air back cavity. Generally, thicker exhibit better low- mid-frequency range. Moreover, higher associated with at same thickness. Additionally, increasing distance between cavity enhances low frequencies. Thus, these physical variables, rather than specific used, primarily influence capabilities. Therefore, such fibers, granules, porous effective absorbers if their thickness, density, properly controlled.

متن کاملImproving Radar Absorbing Capability of Polystyrene Nanocomposites: Preparation and Investigation of Microwave Absorbing Properties
Microwave absorbing materials are usually designed to solve protection against electromagnetic interference in wireless communication systems and high frequency circuit mechanisms. In this research polystyrene (PS) nanocomposites containing various nano-fillers were successfully synthesized. The novelty of this work is comparing of three various nanostructures: non-metallic conductive graphene ...
متن کاملA sound absorbing metasurface with coupled resonators
An impedance matched surface is able, in principle, to totally absorb the incident sound and yield no reflection, and this is desired in many acoustic applications. Here we demonstrate a design of impedance matched sound absorbing surface with a simple construction. By coupling different resonators and generating a hybrid resonance mode, we designed and fabricated a metasurface that is impedanc...
متن کاملOn the use of a loudspeaker for measuring the viscoelastic properties of sound absorbing materials.
This paper investigates the feasibility to use an electrodynamic loudspeaker to determine viscoelastic properties of sound-absorbing materials in the audible frequency range. The loudspeaker compresses the porous sample in a cavity, and a measurement of its electrical impedance allows one to determine the mechanical impedance of the sample: no additional sensors are required. Viscoelastic prope...
متن کاملReview of Key Indicators of the "Green Hospital" in a Selected Military Hospital
Background and Aim: In recent years, the construction industry, and in particular the hospital, affected by sustainable development, created concepts such as "sustainable building" and "green hospitals". Various methods have been developed with the development and implementation of green hospitals. The point of sharing all of these three methods was the use of optimum water, energy and waste pr...
